They repaired my VW van, it needed a full recon gearbox and this they did on time and saving me about £800 on other quotes. We had to wait for the office guy to arrive to pay the bill so we spent some time chatting with one of the mechanics and was obviously very knowledgeable. Would recommend.

Got our elderly Daewoo/Ssangyong Musso 4x4 Back on the road, sadly it was the Ssangyong Dealership who was the fly in the ointment sending the wrong part. When I enquired if the vehicle could be saved told it can be repaired the service was friendly and helpful even disposing of an unwanted part (8ft linkage cable) left in the vehicle for me by another transmission specialist they found what could have caused the problem which was a bracket that was too small hence delay as it took main dealership two attempts to get the correct part 1st was just a bag of nuts and bolts which nobody could tell what it was for 2nd was the correct part. Yes sometimes you do have to chase companies but A1 Transmissions were busy and when I visited every ramp and space in the yard was full they also do work for the local emergency services so there are priorities.
